A need for change
Truenorth Technology wanted a new logo to give a more modern and cleaner image, while maintaining a link to the past – evolution rather than revolution.
The old compass design and typeface just didn’t cut it anymore!
Keep it simple!
The new design includes a modern compass design, a more modern approach to the name with a clean typeface, and brighter colours.
The glass look alternate design works well on all electronic media, conveying a modern tech-savvy business.
Colour or black & white
Reducing a logo to simple black and white and shades of grey shows the simplicity of the logo.
Looks good big and small
A logo needs to be scalable. I should work on a billboard as well as on a business card. It needs to be simple for this to work. If its too complex, it won’t work at small sizes.
Use of the logo in a consistent manner reinforces the branding. Don’t allow the power of the logo to be diluted by changing its shape, colour or font.
Likewise, use consistent styles in all your marketing material, which only helps to reinforce you whole branding effort.
